Since the car was raced over 2 decades a year had to be chosen to restore the car to - the year chosen was 1983 - the year Nick Fornoro Jr. won the ARDC Championship driving the car for Mike Scrivani.

Torsion bar adjustment for right rear.

 

Coil over front end. Bracket on
right side of car was for asphalt. Bumper is homemade to look like Edmunds style. We were able to order a new one from Edmunds Autoresearch. The pieces came in - now we have to weld it up. We also order 2 new period correct nerf bars.

 
Almost down to the bare frame - just
two axles to go...not much to a midget.

Close up of bracket added on for asphalt. This will be removed and the car set up for "dirt".

Collection of shocks & springs
that came with car. Important - the two upper right red ones are similar to period correct shocks.

 
Cleaned up and ready to go. This is getting a new bearing - will have another photo later in restoration.

Stamped = CM-049. Remounted on new dash.

 

The original 1983 seat & cushion which
was in car when I got it which will stay in car.
